Turkey: Certified bean seeds are distributed to farmers in Konya

In an effort to boost agricultural productivity on fallow and non-arable lands, the 'Spring with Dried Beans Project' in Konya has led to the distribution of 58,700 kilograms of certified bean seeds to farmers across 10 districts. A ceremony in Beyşehir marked the distribution of 10 tons of these seeds, with costs partially covered by farmers and the remainder through grants. Konya's Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Duran Seçen, highlighted the project's aim to enhance the use of underutilized lands for agriculture. Additionally, in the Hüyük district, 60 farmers received 2,250 kilograms of bean seeds, further supporting the initiative's objectives.
