Chambers: the Polish market must be protected from the influx of low-quality corn

The agricultural self-government accepted without reservations the addition of the list of corn varieties that cannot be sown in the country. However, it also appealed for a meticulous examination of grain arriving from abroad. The Board of the National Council of Agricultural Chambers (KRIR) submitted an opinion on the draft amendment to the regulation of the Council of Ministers on the ban on the use of seed material of MON 810 corn varieties. "The agricultural self-government does not raise any comments on the amendment to the regulation, which consists in supplementing the list of MON 810 corn varieties, the seed material of which cannot be used," we read in the KRIR letter.
