Currently, in Yangon, the Myanmar Rice Dealers Association and the Myanmar Rice Grain Association are collaborating to sell rice with the aim of stabilizing rice prices, allowing the public to purchase and consume it at affordable prices.
At the beginning of August, Naypyidaw and Mandalay will sell domestic rice varieties such as Wet Bo Baw, Irrawaddy Bo Baw, and Ama Ta at reasonable prices.
Under this plan, the Wadaung Commodity Trading Station and Man Yang Long Commodity Trading Station in Yangon have begun selling, and arrangements are being made for association member rice shops in various townships to sell simultaneously, making it convenient for the public to purchase.
The selling prices at the Wadaung Commodity Trading Station and Man Yang Long Commodity Trading Station are Wet Bo Baw rice (10 kg/bag) at 31,000 Myanmar kyat, Irrawaddy Bo Baw rice (10 kg/bag) at 24,000 Myanmar kyat, and Ama Ta rice (10 kg/bag) at 14,000 Myanmar kyat.
