Chile will host the CIPF World Workshop on Systemic Approaches, an event that will mark a milestone in the management of pest risk at a global level. The activity, organized by the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) together with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile (SAG-Chile), and the Plant Health Committee of the Southern Cone (COSAVE), will bring together representatives from national and regional plant protection organizations, governmental bodies, and the private sector. Systemic approaches constitute an innovative alternative that combines various integrated measures to protect against plant pests during the international movement of plants and products.
