China Becomes a Strategic Market, Indonesia Encourages Export Access for Agricultural Commodities
The Chinese market presents a significant opportunity for Indonesia's premium agricultural products.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Sudaryono, conveyed a significant opportunity for the country to expand the export market for agricultural products to the People's Republic of China (PRC). This was stated after meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the PRC, Maierdan Mugaiti, in Jakarta. Sudaryono explained that several of Indonesia's flagship commodities have the potential to penetrate the Chinese market. Products such as durian are expected to be exported directly without going through a third country, while swiftlet nests, poultry, and natural rubber have strengthened their market access to China.
