In October, Vietnam's customs authorities declared exports of 914.7 thousand tons of fish and seafood with a value of $2.53 billion, marking a 3.5% increase in cost and a 24.3% decrease in volume compared to the same period in 2020. The exports were predominantly frozen fish (84.8%), with a 28.3% decrease, while fish fillets and other meat saw a 31.8% increase. Crustacean exports decreased by 1.8%, and finished and canned products exports more than doubled. The main importers were South Korea (65.2%), China (22.8%), and Japan (4.3%).
