By the end of 2023, China has emerged as the primary purchaser of Russian poultry and beef, buying 132.9 thousand tons and 21.5 thousand tons respectively, as reported by Rosselkhoznadzor. Other significant importers of Russian meat products are Iran, Vietnam, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. In the same year, Russia was granted permission to export 47 types of livestock products to 16 different countries. The main markets for Russian products are the EAEU and CIS states, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
