In 2023, China became the main importer of poultry and beef from Russia

At the end of last year, China turned out to be the main buyer of Russian beef and poultry meat. Such data from the Argus federal information system belonging to Rosselkhoznadzor was presented at a round table during the 31st international exhibition Prodexpo-2024 by assistant to the head of the department Artyom Daushev. According to them, purchases of this meat amounted to 21,500 and 132,900 tons. The service representative provided similar statistics for other types of meat for several other countries. In particular, Iran purchased 10,300 tons of lamb. The largest importers of pork were Belarus and Vietnam with volumes of 78,800 and 85,100 tons, respectively.
