China emerged as the primary buyer of Russian beef and poultry meat at the end of last year, purchasing 21,500 and 132,900 tons respectively, as per Argus federal information system data. Other significant importers included Iran, Belarus, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan. Russia's meat product production saw a 5% increase in 2023, with 16 countries permitting the supply of 47 types of Russian livestock products. The most active growth in supplies was observed in the Eurasian Economic Union, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
