China has permitted Myanmar to export certain products including sugarcane, rubber, snow swallows, and cotton through the Qingshuihe Port. However, the closure of various ports due to the pandemic has posed challenges for the export of Myanmar's agricultural products, such as watermelon and bananas, to the Chinese market. The situation has led to the repatriation of Myanmar migrant workers and issues with domestic banana supply and price increase. Currently, other agricultural products like rice, corn, peppers, watermelon, and cantaloupe have not been approved for export.
