China has initiated an anti-subsidy investigation into dairy imports from the European Union, following a complaint from its local dairy industry and in response to the EU's revised tariff plan for Chinese electric vehicles. The probe will look into 20 subsidy schemes from EU countries, primarily focusing on various dairy products. This action is part of a broader series of investigations by China into EU agricultural subsidies and comes amidst escalating trade tensions between China and the EU. The European Dairy Association has expressed confidence in the compliance of EU farm subsidies with World Trade Organization rules.
