The Chinese government is taking steps to reduce the use of corn and soybeans in animal feed due to increasing prices and imports. The Ministry of Agriculture is encouraging the use of alternative ingredients such as rice, cassava, rice bran, barley, sorghum, and various meal sources. Additionally, the ministry has suggested the use of fodder stillage (DDG) as a replacement for soybean meal, despite trade restrictions and China's lack of main ethanol production. The ministry will develop regional feed formulations, with plans to include DDG, to adapt to China's conditions.
