Namwon city in North Jeolla Province has received approval for its Unbong highland paprika from Vietnam's export quarantine complex and China's export quarantine screening center. This highland, located at the foot of Mt. Jirisan, sees 38 farmers producing 3,000 tons of paprika annually from June to December. The city plans to support export logistics expenses for farmers and companies to boost the competitiveness of fresh agricultural products like paprika, onions, grapes, pears, melons, rice, and kimchi. It also aims to promote Namwon agricultural and special products at overseas distribution stores in Japan, China, and Vietnam to increase producers' income through export expansion.
