The National Commission for Cereals, Fibers and Oilseeds of the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) held a meeting to address climate impacts on the soybean and corn harvest and evaluation of emergency measures to support rural producers, led by the president of the Commission, Ricardo Arioli. Representatives from various agricultural organizations, including the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, attended the meeting to discuss the current situation and projections for this year's soybean and corn harvest, with a focus on minimizing negative impacts for rural producers. Additionally, the meeting discussed the extension of the soybean planting calendar for the 2023/2024 harvest and announced plans to bring together the Soy and Corn Chambers, along with all links in the production chain, in Brasília to build an agenda for emergency actions for the sector.
