Coffee, water, and "without" beer, the beverages that have increased the most in price this year

Coffee, water, spirits, and non-alcoholic beer are four of the ten beverage categories that have risen the most in the last seven months of 2025, while the shopping basket continues to rise in Spain, in line with the overall CPI. Once again, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 2.7% annually as of July, which is one-tenth less than the index of the previous month, according to CPI data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). But coffee has risen much more in the last seven months of 2025 by 15.9%, becoming the beverage category that has risen the most so far this year. In July alone, it has risen by 1.8% compared to the previous month of 2025, confirming its gradual escalation. At the same time, mineral or spring water has risen by 2.8% since January, a figure identical to that of spirits and liqueurs.
