The first shipment of Colombian mangoes has arrived in the United States, marking the start of mango exports to the US. The shipment, containing 20 tons of mangoes, was grown in Colombia and packed in Zarzal, Valle del Cauca. This marks a significant milestone for Colombia's agricultural sector, especially after the US imported USD$ 552 million worth of fresh mangoes in 2021. The mangoes are being exported by Trópico Produce SAS and imported by Seasons Farm Fresh Inc. Colombia is now exporting mangoes to over eight countries, including the US, which offers potential for significant business growth.
