The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in Thailand is implementing measures to promote Halal marketing and ensure food safety amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes inspections and certification for Halal products, as well as guidelines to prevent COVID-19 contamination in food export production. The DITP aims to target the Muslim market, which is valued at about 1.2 trillion US dollars, by providing modern, quality food products that meet international standards. Thailand currently ranks as the 13th largest exporter of halal food products to Muslim countries.
