The Chamber of Deputies' Communications Committee approved a proposal that creates rules to protect data from agricultural activities and collected by agricultural technology providers (ATPs). The goal is to make it clear that the owner of the so-called agricultural data is the agricultural producer, ensuring the security of their information. Usage According to the project, the agricultural technology provider must clearly specify, in the contract, the uses it intends to make of the agricultural data, including the possibility of sharing with other private or public companies and organizations. To do so, it must obtain explicit permission from the producer, under penalty of being held liable for moral, material, or economic damages arising from unauthorized uses.
