The Giza Chamber of Commerce is set to partner with the Export Council for Food Industries to boost the Egyptian date industry and increase food exports. The collaboration will create a comprehensive plan to identify export challenges, diversify date products, target new markets, and improve product quality for global market acceptance. Small and medium-sized companies will benefit from improved market access and quality jobs. The food industry exports experienced a 2.4% growth in the first half of 2022, reaching $2,169 million, with Arab countries being the main importers. The partnership aims to meet export requirements, improve product quality, and open new markets in Europe and Japan.
