The corn supply in Mato Grosso was estimated at 53.29 million tons for the 2025/26 crop, a 4.05% decrease from the previous season, according to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). The demand was projected at 52.67 million tons, a 2.40% drop from the 2024/25 crop, resulting from the lower production expectation compared to the record observed in the previous crop. For the 2024/25 crop, already concluded, the institute consolidated the production at 55.43 million tons, the highest in the historical series. With initial stocks of 110 thousand tons, the total supply amounted to 55.54 million tons, an increase of 14.03% compared to the previous cycle.
