Corpocampo, a non-profit organization, is aiding over 400 former FARC combatants in Colombia by cultivating Amazonian crops like acai in the Colombian Pacific region. The cooperative, comprised of ex-combatants, is responsible for planting and harvesting, while Corpocampo provides support, supplies, and buys all production. The initiative, covering 800 hectares, aims to enhance peace and reintegration through agricultural projects.
Former FARC combatant Ferney Velasquez Borugo highlighted the project's benefits, such as the comprehensive support from planting to marketing, creating a path for ex-combatants to reintegrate into society through productive activities.
