(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Kang Ae-ran = Daedong [000490] announced on the 26th that it will supply agricultural drones and high-horsepower tractors of over 150 horsepower to the domestic market starting next year.
Daedong recently signed domestic distribution contracts with global drone company DJI and German agricultural machinery company Deutz-Fahr.
According to Daedong, the domestic agricultural drone market is approximately 10,000 units in size, with an annual demand for new purchases reaching about 3,000 units. DJI holds over 70% of the domestic agricultural drone market.
Moreover, the Deutz-Fahr tractors introduced by Daedong are equipped with the Deutz TCD 6.1 engine and offer high fuel efficiency.
Lee Gwang-uk, head of Daedong's domestic business division, said, "We will actively utilize excellent external products to expand domestic sales and strengthen the competitiveness of the entire future agriculture business."
