Between 16 and 22 September 2024, Poland experienced a change in dairy product sales prices. Butter in blocks and packaged form saw an increase of 0.4% and 3% weekly, and 5.5% and 9.5% monthly respectively. Compared to the previous year, butter in blocks was 49% more expensive and packaged butter was 53% more expensive. Skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder were also sold, with the former being 5% and 6% more expensive weekly and monthly respectively, and the latter being 6% and 7% more expensive. Domestic producers sold Edam cheese at PLN 20.44/kg, which was 4% more expensive weekly and 8% more expensive monthly, and Gouda cheese at PLN 20.70/kg, which was 2% more expensive weekly and 3.5% more expensive monthly. However, compared to the prices a year ago, Edam cheese was slightly more expensive and Gouda cheese was 4% cheaper.
