Damietta Port has been active, handling 26 ships in the past 24 hours, receiving general cargo and large shipments of wheat and scrap, and exporting salt and various commodities. The total export movement from containers reached 421 TEUs, including a variety of agricultural products, and the port also managed 166 TEUs of incoming containers and 1440 TEU of transit containers. The port's grain and grain silo balance is 168015 tons for the public sector and 13811 tons in the private sector stores. The port also has several berths used for different purposes and is one of the oldest ports in Egypt.
