Over 60,000 tons of vegetables and fruits, worth $40 million, have been exported from China to Mongolia daily through the Ereenhot checkpoint in Northern China since the start of the year. The demand for these agricultural products from Mongolia is steadily increasing, as shown by the Haogang import-export company in Ereenhot constantly increasing its exports of bell peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, apples, pears, and bananas to Mongolia. A "green corridor" was launched at the Ereenhot checkpoint in 2018 to ensure the freshness of agricultural products, allowing for rapid customs inspection and clearance.
