Demand for freight falls in Goiás after corn harvest

The National Supply Company (Conab) informed, through the September edition of the Logistics Bulletin, released this Monday (29), that Goiás recorded in August a reduction in the demand for freight from the second half of the month. According to the publication, "this seasonal variation is directly related to the end of the corn harvest in the southern region of the state, one of the main factors that drive the local logistics sector." In line with previous bulletins, the main destinations of the cargo transported by companies were the ports of Baixada Santista and the Rumo terminal in Rio Verde, considered strategic points for the outflow of regional production. During the month, corn was the most transported product, especially in the first half.
