At the Ministerial Meeting of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) in Brescia, Italy, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Alexander Yotsev, showcased the distinctive qualities of Bulgarian wines, blending tradition with modernity. The event, celebrating the OIV's centenary, was attended by representatives from 31 countries. Yotsev discussed Bulgaria's advantageous position for wine production, its diverse grape varieties, and the industry's challenges like climate change. He highlighted Bulgaria's engagement with the OIV, including a 2020 Memorandum of Understanding to boost its global wine market presence. The meeting also featured a visit to the VinItaly exhibition in Verona, highlighting Italy's wine heritage.
