Devida boosts aquaculture with the delivery of 330 thousand paco fry in Ucayali and Huánuco

The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), through its Zonal Office of Pucallpa, has begun the delivery of 330 thousand paco fry (Piaractus brachypomus) benefiting 330 families from the Ucayali and Huánuco regions, as part of its strategy for comprehensive and sustainable alternative development. This action is part of the Aquaculture activity, aimed at strengthening the productive capacities of rural families through the breeding of Amazonian fish as a profitable and sustainable economic alternative. The initiative promotes food security, productive diversification, and the consolidation of legitimate economies in the Peruvian jungle. The first delivery was made in the native community of San José de Tunuya, where 7 thousand fry were distributed, followed by the hamlets of Los Pinos (3 thousand), Pimental (14 thousand), and San José (7 thousand), adding an initial total of 31 thousand.
