The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) have announced the results of the federal government's initiatives in the Brazilian semiarid region. They introduced the AgroNordeste Digital Program, which aims to foster technology-based entrepreneurship and agricultural innovation in Northeast Brazil. The program will focus on creating regional innovation ecosystems, promoting technological entrepreneurship, and improving rural connectivity. Priority will be given to regions such as Vale do São Francisco, Vale do Jaguaribe, Vale do Açu, West Baiano, and Cariri Paraibano. The Mapa also announced the Decentralized Execution Term (TED) to provide forage palm to family farmers in the Semiarid region, benefiting 800 families. Additionally, the event saw the presentation of certificates to professors and students from federal universities and the Federal Institute of Paraíba benefiting from the Agricultural Professional Residency Program, promoting the integration of young people into the agricultural job market.
