United States President Donald Trump confirmed in recent hours that the aid package his government is preparing for Argentina could include a generous expansion of the current quota for importing beef. However, this measure, which is now presented as part of the "bailout" for the local government of Javier Milei, has been under negotiation for quite some time between both nations and was even anticipated by Argentine industrialists long before the talks between the two leaders began. There are also two additional factors that would finally tip the balance in favor of Argentine beef exports to that country. On the one hand, Trump's intentions to lower the local price of this product, which he considers "remains elevated" as part of his plan to reduce U.S. inflation.
