Morocco: Doukkala vineyard, undeniable support for rural development

Composed mainly (99%) of the “Doukkali” grape variety grown in the Bour zone, the rest of the region's vineyard, i.e. nearly 1% (161.6 Ha) is irrigated with a diversity of Italian varieties, underlines Abderrahmane Naili, director of ORMVAD. It currently ensures a production of 51,420 tonnes / year, or 4 tonnes / ha which are marketed on local and national markets. It offers 450,000 working days per year.
