Ecuadorian banana exports have increased by 6.99% in the first seven months of 2023 compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 220.17 million boxes. This growth can be attributed to the dynamic Ecuadorian market, lower maritime freight costs, and an increase in organic banana exports to the United States. Furthermore, the EU-27 has experienced a significant increase in imports of Ecuadorian bananas, particularly in countries like Holland, Germany, and Greece.
