The last week of January saw a decrease in prices for several produce items including aubergines, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, radicchio, fennel and oranges, as per Bmti surveys. This was largely due to high availability and low demand, particularly for Sicilian Tarocco oranges and Italian fennel. However, radicchio prices remained high due to scarcity. Clementines prices were stable, while Sicilian aubergines and peppers saw a price drop due to good supply and average demand. Despite a slight decrease, Sicilian tomatoes prices are still trending high.
