Egypt's strategic axes to develop exports have led to a significant increase in the competitiveness of Egyptian products globally, with exports value increasing by 18.2% in 2020/2021 compared to 2019/2020, reaching $34.4 billion. The top importing countries were Saudi Arabia, UAE, America, Turkey, and India. There was also a notable increase in the exports of various commodities such as books, newspapers, pictures, pearls, precious stones, ornaments, active barley mills, grain starch products, synthetic or synthetic bristles, glass and its products, food preparations, edible fruits and vegetables, and vegetable and animal oils and waxes.
