The Department of United States Agriculture (USDA) predicts a 13.4% rise in global orange exports for the 2023/24 campaign, reaching over 4.9 million tons. This surge is largely attributed to a 25% increase in Egypt's exports, expected to reach a record 2 million tons, solidifying its position as the world's top orange exporter. South Africa and the United States trail behind with exports of 1.37 million tons and 350,000 tons respectively. Despite a production drop due to drought and high summer temperatures, the European Union is projected to import one million tons.
