Egyptian food industry exports to the United States saw a 23% increase in the first quarter of this year, reaching about $48 million, up from $39 million the previous year. The Export Council for Food Industries report shows that 10 commodities, including 'oil seeds and fruits' and 'frozen vegetables', make up 80% of these exports. Other exports like 'vegetable preparations', 'molasses', and 'pickled and processed olives' also contributed significantly. These exports accounted for 5% of the food industry exports in 2020, which totaled about 181 million dollars.
