Vietnam's seafood industry is experiencing a surge in growth, with November exports reaching 924 million USD, a 17% annual increase, and total earnings for the first 11 months of the year nearing 9.2 billion USD, an 11.5% year-on-year increase. The country is on track to meet its 10 billion USD export target for 2024. Shrimp exports are expected to surpass 4 billion USD, and there has been robust growth in other seafood products like tra fish and tuna. The export value of mollusks increased by 180%. The domestic seafood industry is also boosting the processing and export of by-products such as fish meal. China has surpassed the US as Vietnam’s largest seafood importer.
