99% self-sufficiency in the watermelon crop in Saudi Arabia and production is 624 thousand tons annually

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture confirmed that fruit and vegetable markets in all regions of Saudi Arabia are preparing to receive the local watermelon production season, as part of ongoing efforts. To enhance and encourage local production of agricultural crops with high nutritional value to achieve food security and enhance self-sufficiency rates.
