The European Union (EU) is the second largest market for Vietnam's cashew nut exports, accounting for 23% of the total volume and 22% of the total value. In the first 11 months of 2021, Vietnam's cashew exports to the EU reached approximately 122.5 thousand tons, with a value of USD 734.38 million, marking a 15.2% increase in volume and a 6.2% increase in value over the same period in 2020. The industry has successfully exploited the Dutch and German markets, among others. The Vietnamese cashew industry is also promoting the export of high-value cashew nuts like W180 cashews. The average export price of W320 cashew nuts to the EU in the 11 months of 2021 reached 6,705 USD/ton, but decreased by 10.6% compared to the same period in 2020.
