Imports of soybean beans into the European Union in the 2025/26 season, which began in July, reached 2.29 million tons by August 31, compared to 2.42 million tons a year earlier. Rapeseed imports into the EU over the same period amounted to 0.44 million tons compared to 0.86 million tons a year earlier, while soybean meal imports reached 3.12 million tons compared to 3.25 million tons a year earlier. Palm oil imports into the EU amounted to 0.42 million tons against 0.58 million tons a year earlier. *However, the Commission stated that import data for Romania over the past four weeks is missing. Exports of soft wheat from the European Union in the first two months of the 2025/26 season decreased by 44% compared to the same period last year. The decline was exacerbated by the absence of data from France, the largest producer in the EU.
