The European Commission has updated its regulations on the import of agricultural products and food from third countries, including Vietnam. Effective from July 2, Vietnamese instant noodles will no longer need to undergo food safety control in the EU, as they have met the required standards. However, the export of other agricultural products like dragon fruit, chili, and okra will see increased border checks with stricter pesticide residue requirements. The Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam is advising local businesses to raise the quality of their products to meet EU standards to ensure stable exporting and maintain the reputation of Vietnamese exports.
