A meeting led by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Le Minh Hoan, was held to discuss the production and consumption of agricultural products in the southern provinces of Vietnam, particularly the Mekong Delta. The meeting highlighted the challenges and progress in connecting agricultural producers with consumers, especially during social distancing measures. The Working Group 970 has registered 1,166 focal points providing agricultural products, with the majority being cooperatives and households. The report also covered the production status of rice and livestock, a diverse supply of livestock and aquatic products, and the current situation of seafood processing enterprises in the region. Despite challenges such as temporary suspensions and reduced capacity due to the pandemic, efforts are being made to address difficulties and maintain production.
