Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Patrushev noted the almost complete withdrawal from foreign wine materials and a reduction in wine imports: compared to last year alone, it decreased by almost a third. In parallel, there has been a qualitative leap in the development of the industry. If in 2019 only 12.1% of red and 14.1% of white wines met or exceeded the heightened standard, today, according to the Russian Wine Guide, the share of high-quality wines among still white and red wines is approximately equal and exceeds 76%.
