China is a major global consumer of shellfish and crustaceans, with imports of ice cream and live crab reaching 66.7 thousand tons and $958.6 million, respectively, in 2020. Russia was the largest supplier of live crab, accounting for 28% of the market. Brazil imported 3.6 thousand tons of frozen pollock fillets, 99.6% of which came from China. The Federal Agency for Fisheries developed export guides for Russian crab and pollock fillet suppliers to help understand the Chinese and Brazilian markets and develop effective export strategies. These guides are available for download on the Federal Center "Agroexport" website.
