In 2022, Russia saw a significant increase in the export of wheat and wheat-rye flour, with a 3.5 times increase compared to 2021, totaling 881 thousand tons. The value of these supplies also increased by 3.9 times. Georgia emerged as the largest importer of Russian flour, followed by Iraq and Afghanistan, with the first time Russia delivering flour to Egypt, Uganda, Senegal, and Sri Lanka. The leading regions in exporting wheat and wheat-rye flour were North Ossetia, the Stavropol Territory, and Moscow. The Federal Center "Agroexport" plans to expand sales in neighboring countries and China, with the markets of Afghanistan and Iraq being promising areas for growth.
