In 2024, Russia's halal product exports saw a significant increase of 82% from the previous year, reaching a value of $380 million, with the majority of the exports going to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Iran. Other countries like Algeria, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt also contributed to the demand, with the exports mainly consisting of meat and meat products. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture is playing a key role in this growth, particularly in the development of Islamic banking and the acceptance of Russian halal certificates in international markets. These developments are aimed at enhancing Russia's agricultural sector and expanding its halal product market both domestically and internationally.
