Between January and October of 2024, Ukraine saw a positive trade balance in pork exports, with the country earning $6.2 million from exporting 2.6 thousand tons of pork to the UAE, Bahrain, and Malaysia. The country's pork imports have decreased significantly by 5.7 times compared to the same period in the previous year, amounting to 2.1 thousand tons, primarily imported from Canada, Denmark, and Spain. The Association 'Swine Farmers of Ukraine' is currently working on negotiations to expand export markets to South Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam. The low pork import activity indicates that 2024 might set a record low for pork imports.
