In October, the export of rapeseed from Ukraine will not exceed 135–140 thousand tons, compared to 535 thousand tons last year. As of October 28, 125 thousand tons have been exported.
This is reported by the analytical department of the agricultural cooperative PUSК, created within the framework of VAR.
"Export is moving very slowly — everything is running into tariffs. They are the ones who have actually stopped the normal work of exporters," PUSК emphasizes.
The volumes of domestic processing are increasing. "In September, we processed over 100 thousand tons, and the figure for October will not be lower. Against the backdrop of problems with sunflower, it is rapeseed that is currently supporting the sector. Prices for rapeseed at the ports are quoted in the range of €540–545/t. Meanwhile, processors offer from 25 thousand UAH/t and higher," analysts note.
The European market is showing positive price dynamics.
"Over the past week, the exchange quotations for rapeseed have risen by €10. In January–February, the period of the highest prices for this oilseed crop is traditionally expected," PUSК adds.
