From January to July 2022, Russia's vegetable oil exports saw a 2% decrease compared to the same period last year, totaling 2.6 million tons. This includes a decrease in sunflower oil exports by 7%, an increase in soybean oil exports by 2%, and a significant surge in rapeseed oil exports by 23%. Turkey, Egypt, and Algeria were the main buyers of sunflower, soybean, and rapeseed oil, respectively. Additionally, oilseed exports increased by 22%, with sunflower seeds mainly shipped to the EAEU countries. However, a 50% export duty has been imposed on sunflower seeds due to high stocks. Furthermore, the report highlights the dynamics of various meal exports and margarine and mayonnaise products, with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as the main buyers for margarine and mayonnaise, respectively.
