According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first seven months of the year, Vietnam exported 5.5 million tons of rice, earning 2.81 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by 3.1% but the value decreased by 15.9% due to the average export price of only 514 USD/ton, which is 18.4% lower than the same period in 2024. However, in early August, the price of Vietnamese rice rebounded strongly against the global trend, while the price of rice from other exporting countries continued to decline. Specifically, according to data from the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), on August 7, the price of Vietnam's 5% broken rice for export increased to 395 USD/ton.
