The suspension of tariffs on various Brazilian agricultural products by the United States, in effect since November 13, has already had positive effects on exports. The total value exported to the country rose by 19% compared to October, according to an analysis by the consultancy Itaú BBA, based on data from Secex. The measure benefits products such as beef, coffee, orange juice, mango, nuts, and papaya. Nevertheless, Brazilian agricultural exports to the US totaled $643 million in the month, a drop of 57% compared to November 2024. Among the main products benefiting, beef saw a 56% increase in the volume exported in November compared to October. Other positive highlights were exports of mangoes (+20%) and fruit juices (+19%), as shown in the table of the report on page 5. Even with the positive performance compared to the previous month, the numbers still reflect the effects of the contraction that occurred throughout the year.
